JOB SUMMARY
Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring that component and product manufacturing processes for finished goods and covers are capable of consistently producing finished goods and covers which meet Division’s Quality specifications and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. During the Mass Production cycle, Quality Assurance will:
? Train Factory’s QC and related managers with requirements, process controls, and work station instructions to ensure a full understanding of expectations.
? Provide Factory support on an as needed basis (for FQC issues and IPQC implementation).
? Manage suppliers for NCR, CAR, suppliers moves regarding quality aspects
? Monitor implementation of ECN during inspections to ensure engineering changes occur as specified and on schedule.
? Assist in the development of a quality improvement strategy from Division (inspection, consumer, and retailer quality data) and work with suppliers to implement strategy plans when production/process is identified as the contributor.
? Conduct periodic audits of suppliers’ manufacturing process to identify and implement quality improvements and cost reduction. Develop an audit scheduling and reporting tool for tight follow up of actions related to audit failures.
? Understand and guarantee all Dorel requirements are implemented by supplier, include Dorel’s internal standards and product specification , relative laws or regulations, customers’ requirements.
? Carry out in line inspection and/or process audits to prevent quality problems flowing into last station.
? Can win over the final inspection and make a corrective and judge comment on FQA inspection, final inspection include but no limit: inspection for product, physic tests, hardware ,all papers like AI (IM), 3rd test reports, shipping window, ect, and a overall comment for the whole batch of products, inspection reports.
? Find and follow up suitable solutions on all quality problems which may incurred from DC or NA warehouse inspections, consumers or periodical quality analysis , maybe with helps from supplier or PE team.
? Work together with DC team and supplier to make continuous quality improvement.
? Essential and effective communication among Dorel NA and DC and suppliers regarding of quality problems.

JOB REQUIREMENT

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

1. College Degree, Technical Degree or above (post High School degree required)
2. Experience with RTA Furniture such as Office Products, Entertainment, Bath collection and Bedroom production.
Or experience with futon or any kinds of upholstery furniture.
3. Knowledge of painting process, paper lamination, metal soldering and coating, component or assembly manufacturing process.
Or knowledge about fabric, PU, foams and upholstery process.
4. Over 5-years working experience in Quality or production in the related field is a must.
5. Good understanding and working experience in Quality and Quality improvement is a must

SKILLS:

1. Proficient in English reading and writing. Good spoken English not mandatory but would be appreciated
2. Knowledgeable in the use of the Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
3. Good communication skills.
