Position Title: Material Engineer
1.0 BROAD FUNCTIONS:
As a materials engineer, provide leadership in material development for key engineering projects and provide technical support for materials used in existing products and processes. This position must demonstrate a strong desire to assist materials processing using a hands – on approach working with quality, engineering, and production teams.
2.0 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
2.1 Providing leadership in materials technology and processing
2.2 Act as a technical liaison with material suppliers and compounders
2.3 Stay current with respect to new materials and processing technologies
2.4 Maintain close communication with operations and sales to insure their needs are being met and to provide them with up-to-date information on technology affecting their operations
2.5 Prompt response and support to production processing problems
2.6 Successful identification of new materials and processes
2.7 Works with the suppliers to resolve material problems and maintain the required quality of incoming materials
2.8 Provides technical support to the quality and operations groups in resolving material perforamcne problems
2.9 Works with FFNA Materials Group to support material testing and development of materials for various global entities
2.10 Works with outside suppliers to develop new materials
2.11 Prepares project schedules and leads project management related to material deployment and processing
2.12 Analyzes test data and reports to determine if material properties meet functional and performance specifications. (ASTM and customer specific)
2.13 Evaluates and approves material design and specification changes
2.14 Provides support for existing materials and process improvements

5.0 SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
5.1 Bachlor’s Degree in polymer Chemistry
5.2 Excellent English communication skills written and verbal
5.3 Mechanical aptitude
5.4 Production experience preferred
5.5 Demonstrated initiative, ability to learn, problem-solving skills
5.6 2-5 years experience in the rubber industry desired, preferably silicone, specializing in materials processing and development
5.7 PC skills, MS office and Solidworks
6.0 WORKING CONDITIONS

一星期5天，每天8小时工作制.
