职位描述
Position Purpose
This role reflects the growth of the CMSC business and the growth of emerging derivative markets in China. Overall market volume has exceeded our expectations and the depth to which we use these markets requires an additional person to be the primary executioner of both SHFE Steel and DCE Ore orders.
The role will be to manage the execution of derivative orders. The orders are executed verbally via clearing broker channels or via screen trading systems, and are given by the various Traders in Steel and Ore. Attention to detail and the accuracy of managing the flow of orders is essential. Able to act calmly and efficiently in times of pressure is also essential. The ability to maintain such accuracy will require a fluency in both Mandarin and English especially in numeracy. With access to News Vendor, and online transaction portals a high level of IT skills will also be required. Previous experience and an understanding of derivative markets would be a clear advantage.
Whilst this position is initially a derivative execution role, there will be limited automony for day trading, which in time could open many avenues to either progress within the derivative team to a trader status, or transfer those skills to either the physical steel or iron ore team. This position will be based in Shanghai.
Principal Accountabilities
* Daily execution of orders in both Iron Ore and Steel derivatives.
* Communication and relationship building with the various brokers, with the ability to understand major players actions in the market, and communicate this back to the various trading groups.
* Communicate with the Cargill Metals Ore and Steel Traders, to clearly understand their daily execution plans and add value by reciprocating market insight that may help the smooth execution of orders.
* Compile an end of day Daily Trading report.
Essential Functions/Requirements
* Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
* Strong level of numeracy
* Maintain calm during stressful fast markets
* Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships – internally and externally.
