Quality and Engineering Manager (Asia)

North and South China




Role Summary/Purpose:
AVF constantly strive for exceptional product quality giving the best value using the best practices across the growing supply base consisting of 14 factories based in both North and South China that supply to the European and American Markets.

The purpose of the role is implement & lead AVF supplier base in the best possible QCD ethic, “Best Quality systems to ensure products conform to design specification, at best cost, on time”



Essential Responsibilities:


This position requires extensive interaction and strong communication and liaison activities with the Engineering, Design and Manufacturing, Quality and the senior level Management teams within AVF.

- Lead factories to improve quality performance via Quality Plan implementation.

- Develop and approve supplier selection to strict and robust qualification processes.

- Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global AVF Sourcing, Design and Engineering Departments to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers.

- To interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality, specifically Field Failures and Factory defects.

- Lead, guide and monitor the suppliers to ensure Corrective and Preventive Action plans are developed and implemented in a timely manner.

- Lead Key Site Excellence audits and to provide expert support to the Supplier Quality and Engineering organization for the different manufacturing processes associated with AVF products.

- Ensuring the adhesion to AVF Procedures and associated Work Instructions by suppliers to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements

- Ensure a compliant and qualified supply base by conducting supplier evaluations and audits.

- All other duties as assigned by manager



Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Management, Engineering Management or Manufacturing Management role

3. Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills with the ability to solve problems, project manage and communicate at all levels within an organization.

4. Proficient knowledge and experience of leading a quality system

5. Fluent in both English and Chinese

3. Proven Leadership skills in driving change across an organisation, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills
4. Demonstrated ability to lead courageously, maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues, and ability to navigate through a large complex business.
