Bühler is a specialist and technology partner for plant and equipment and related services for processing basic foods and manufacturing highgrade materials. In order to enhance our strength in Dryer industry, we would like to look for Customer Service Engineer.
The candidate will report directly to Process Engineering Manager who is U.S. national and English speaker. He/She will provide on-site dryer commissioning and troubleshooting services, as well as local improvement to technical capabilities and knowledge of local China (and sometime SEA) market.The daily work will be:
- Inspect finished dryer installations
- Provide minor mechanical / electrical modifications to installations
- Test/verify all mechanical, electrical, gas or steam and auxiliaries
- Setup equipment and run process trials to meet contractual agreement and capacities
- Provide process troubleshooting as required
- Provide operational and maintenance training as requested
- Formal checkout with customer
- Complete project handover to customer
- Identify sales opportunities, reporting back to local sales team
- Gather process data for future product improvement
- Pilot lab dryer testing for product testing with customer
- Provide technical input as is needed to help improve business

- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Preference)
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and/or operation of large scale industrial equipment
- Able to diagnose and solve mechanical/electrical problems independently
- Use of standard measuring equipment, hand tools, and air monitoring equipment
- Gas burner system operation/troubleshooting
- Trouble shoot electrical power systems and automation configurations
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to supervise multiple crews safely and efficiently
- Computer proficient, including Office suite and standard drafting software (CAD)
- Mandarin/English speaking/reading/writing
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Able to accept and analyze risk, timely decision-making, and taking of action
- Systematic caring for key accounts, addressing of customer feedback, continuous improvement
- Personal resources management (time and energy)
- Service/quality/value orientation
- Ability to travel for extended periods (+50%) – majority China, internationally as required
