ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following includes a list of primary responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or manager to meet various business demands.

? Be knowledgeable of the manufacturing equipment, its principle of operation, purpose, and its interaction with the product. Support and assist the current manufacturing processes.
o Address problems effectively; develop data-based solutions/options, review with team and ensure timely execution.
o Coordinate internal and external resources as needed for product support.
o Apply solid technical understanding of the impact to in-process and final chemical products as they come into contact with various materials and equipment.
o Apply understanding of form, fit, and function requirements and how chemistry impacts the final product performance and out-going quality control.

? Lead and support continuous improvement and quality improvement projects.
o Project Management, including but not limited to: coordinating internal and external resources, development and adherence to timelines, and project reporting
o Internal and external corrective actions.
o Cost reduction initiatives.
o Understanding and support of “cost of quality” measureables.
o Supporting the implementation of critical In-Process Parameters (IPPs) and Statistical Process Control parameters (SPC).

? Lead and assist with new product introduction and product scale up.
o Provide process and manufacturing perspective during product development process
o Lead scale up from lab scale to low volume production and ramp to high volume manufacturing
o Utilize and adhere to change control process

? Work closely with hourly personnel to ensure that all areas of the business are successful through proper group dynamics and teamwork, including employee rotation, retention, and communication. Provide leadership, training and coaching to all shift personnel so that the goals and objectives of the manufacturing operation are achieved and profitability is maintained. Observe and evaluate the skills and work habits of all shift personnel so that continued growth and success can be achieved for everyone.
? Plan and organize the daily activities surrounding the manufacturing floor. Work closely with both floor supervision and process engineering in order to enhance all processing capabilities with regards to both the molding machine and any secondary support equipment.

Additional Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following below.

? Provide technical assistance and support to our customers on an as needed basis. May include travel to customer sites, off-hour teleconferences, etc.

? Coordinate with Quality to ensure proper maintenance of work instructions, FMEAs, control plans and other documentation as required.

? ISO Compliance
o Ensure that ISO documentation (procedures, work instructions, etc.) are up to date for all engineering and maintenance systems
o Follow and Support ISO procedures

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
? B.S. in engineering field (Chemical Engineering is preferred)
? 5 years of relevant industry/chemical engineering experience, polymer technology experience desired
? Two years supervisory experience in a laboratory or production environment
? Proficiency in reading/writing/speaking English.
