Typical Accountabilities:
? Responsible for the alignment of customer strategy and GCA growth strategy, annual plan/budget and targets.
? Contributes to the development of a comprehensive short- and long-term global & regional strategy of the customers in cooperation with the Asia / Global Strategic Account Managers and GCA level KAM’s
? Accountable for direct selling of freight forwarding solutions, domestic, logistics solutions, including, contract logistics, customs brokerage and other value added services. The KAM plays an important role in establishing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single point solution.
? Develop pipeline of new business growth outside of assigned accounts.
? Accountable for developing, leading and meeting/exceeding GCA sales and revenue plans
? Responsible for facilitating the development of short and long term strategic and sales business plans by GCA sub region.
? Works with Global Account Manager (GAM) and Area Sales leadership on target global and regional account identification, development, on-boarding and on-going SOP execution as well as business expansion of new services for current accounts.
? Contributes to the planning process for the integration of accounts as identified during acquisitions. Leads the development of Service Level Agreement (SLAs), Statements of Work (SOWs) and Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) as applicable, with the key internal functions
? Facilitates the account knowledge-transfer and local assignments with Area teams.
? Ensures the development of strong cross-functional relationships among all business units essential for the success and support of the account’s strategies and initiatives..
? Identify, create and lead strong virtual teams from cross functional disciplines to design, sell, implement and manage business growth and maintenance
? Accountable for providing the Area Leader and the head of Sales in GCA with concise, data/fact-driven information and analysis on opportunities, issues, trends and financial results inclusive of identification of alternatives and options to:
o capitalize on positive financial results and trends and,
o identify action items required to reverse negative results and trends.
? Conduct Business Reviews with the assigned Global Accounts on a Monthly Basis and do a Management review on a Quarterly Basis and Invite the GCA Management to attend.
? Identify the Key Decision Makers and visit them and organize Key GCA management staff to visit the Key Decision Makers periodically.
? Must be prepared to travel in and out of the country ..
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Common sense
? Strong, working knowledge operations background (Warehouse management, logistics provider management, material handling and logistics technology/tools).
? Broad understanding of integrated supply chain best practices, information systems and tools.
? Excellent project management skills.
? Excellent oral and written communications skills.
? Excellent presentation skills.
? Excellent strategic planning skills.
? 5-10 years combined experience in the international integrated logistics/supply chain and/or retail industry; a minimum of 5 years international business experience is required.
? Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across functional lines.
? Strong drive, sense of urgency, and energy level
? Strong analytical skills
? Solid leadership skills
? Skills of a “change agent”, out-of-box” thinker
? Strong understanding of international cultural differences
? Maintains senior level customer relationships across multiple customer functional areas such as Sourcing, Production, Research, Facilities, and Materials Management etc.
? Capable of developing and implementing a comprehensive Agility value proposition to the customers including but not limited to: (a) all of the Agility capabilities (existing and future) and (b) understands and can articulate value to the customer in terms of cost optimization, transaction management and asset management
? Understand the business drivers for industry in general and environmental specifically (e.g., Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR)
? Computer literate inclusive of : Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc
If the qualification is a bit poor, can consider to be Key account Manager.
