Job Purpose:
The Customer Service Representative will be a primary interface between vendors and Corporate. They will track all issues relating to factory, including product development, testing, production and special projects. They will communicate daily with factory, Merch Mgrs, QCs, Technicians and Corporate, prepare weekly reports, and will support all parties to meet the goals of the business.
Job Content and Duties for Customer Service:
1. Production shipping Schedule Management:
- Present in the factory 2-3 days a week to understand the production status.
- Walk through factory and confirm WIP matches current production schedule.
- Identify potential changes to delivery, root cause, corrective action and updated shipping schedule.
- Inform US sourcing and inventory of delay, including root cause and corrective action.
- Confirm accurancy against weekly data collected during factory visits, send to US partners on time. Where vendor information is not available, CS will inform US partners in weekly communication of omission and provide expected submission date.
2. Tracking Product Development Testing Log:
- Consolidate testing schedule and send to the US sourcing team and copy lab relative people.
- Track the testing time and alarm factory the date they should send the sample/testing items to avoid late shipment.
- Escalate potential delays to merchandise management.
3. Vendor Performance Management:
- Send out the scorecard to vendors within a set timeframe after the scorecard is ready. Work with vendor, US partners and Singapore team to communicate any discrepancy to scorecard results.
- Use the Return Ratio Tool to Summarize the Return Reason for each vendor, and send out report together with vendor scorecard.
4. Partner with internal departments to exchange information and updated status relative to vendor performance, production schedule, quality issues, in order to keep all relative parties in the same page and come up with a solution for potential delay.
Job Competencies & Experience
Knowledge
The incumbent must be proficient in the following areas:
- 3 years of practical experience with.
- Preferred knowledge in Furniture industry or manufacturing
- Preferred experience working with or for a Retailer
Skills
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
