The Industrial Engineer is responsible for actively providing guidance, oversight and technical expertise to ensure operational excellence is achieved using I.E concepts and practice with our footwear factory partners.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

? Work closely with the Engineering Manager to collaborate and communicate with the site leadership in the factory to set and clarify VF’s expectations
? Provide advice and guidance to promote “best in class” manufacturing processes in alignment to VF’s quality standards, goals, and initiatives.
? Lead continual development in the manufacturing model, design and future state factory layout.
? Facilitate top-down & bottom-up continuous improvement activities.
? Analyze data and information to improve productivity and profitability of operation.
? Recommends the best methods of space, manpower, material, and equipment utilization in production facilities.
? Investigates, plans, and works with other departments to carry out a cost reduction plan.
? Assists facilities department in the area of workplace safety.
? Support operations with crew structuring, process changes & improvements and maximizing operation efficiencies.
? Determine cost effect of special requests from other teams.
? Generate quarterly ‘goals and objectives’ reports.

Desired Skills and Experience:

? Ideally must possess a Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
? Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar position in a footwear/apparel company
? Proven experience in influencing, coaching and consulting with site leadership to drive implementation of engineering initiatives;
? Proven track record in leading and monitoring product and process improvements, ensuring quality and productivity issues are resolved by eliminating the root cause
? Strong English spoken and written skills
