Key Duties & Responsibilities
1Serve as Technical Lead/Core Team Lead for the Definition, Design and Development of complex products.
?2Provide all necessary software support to project manager and other project disciplines to ensure project objectives are being met.
?3Conduct quantitative studies on research projects, which will justify technological and architectural strategies employed in new product development.
?4Manage risk mitigation of new technologies and strategies used.
?5Independently resolve technical problems, initiating design changes and providing engineering support as per project task needs.
?6Communicate project status, issues, and requirements both verbally and in writing. Conduct technical presentations/demonstrations if necessary.
?7Perform other duties as required.

Formal Education
BS Computer Science or equivalent required. Advanced degree (MSEE, MSCS) preferred.

Experience
6 years software product development experience (not IT)

Skills
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of communication systems software in a real-time embedded development environment OR in application development.

Extensive experience with industry standard protocols and SW technologies in the telecommunications field either in systems development or in network management/application development.

Hands-on experience with industry standard debug environments including emulators, logic analyzers with an understanding of assembly level code.

Hands-on experience with industry standard real-time operating systems, compilers, debuggers, source-code control systems and bug trackers.

Ability to interface with other functions (hardware, test, etc) during the development process required.

Experience in design and development of Network Management applications using EJB and similar technologies. Knowledge of networking, serial and socket programming, multithreading, thread synchronization. Experience using SNMP, RMON and SMTP protocols.

Experience on technologies such as MSI, .Net Framework. Experience with UI design using programming languages such as Java, C++, C and C#. VB6.0,,Experience with technologies such as J2EE, JNI, JNDI, JDBC, JMX, RMI, Servlets, JWS and JAAS. Experience with UNIX AWK and shell scripting is a plus.

Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
