Summary of Client:
Our client is one of subsidiaries of a very famous US group who is a leading manufacturer and innovator of components for major appliances and provides a large variety of components for customers. Their main products are door lock, lid lock, pressure switch, pressure sensor, automatic temperature controller for washing machine, ignitors for cooktop, temperature control for oven, and components for refrigerator.
Reporting Lines:
Department: R&D
Report to: R&D Manager
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for new product design, research and development, current product improvement, and R&D project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Prioritized by importance)
1. Design new products as required, responsible for Drawing, SPEC, BOM, ECR.
2. Give advice for current products to the original designers.
3. Apply certificate (UL,CQC, VDE...) if needed.
4. Continuous Improve (quality, cost reduction) for existing products.
5. Research new material or construction.
6. Tooling review before launch.
7. Review PSIRs.
8. R&D project management.
9. Perform other tasks assigned by R&D manager.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree, major in Engineering related.
2. 5 years of experience at EM product (valve, switch, sensor...) design.
3. Good at Auto-Cad / pro-E.
4. Good of written and spoken English.
5. Good at office software.
6. Good team building.
7. Experience project management preferred.
