职位描述
The Import / Export Specialist will be responsible for developing a comprehensive and cost-effective import/export model for our newly created manufacturing facility. This role requires a well-developed ability to analyze complex business processes, with a focus on cost-benefit, to make difficult decisions and recommendations. Discussion, analysis, and explanation of complex processes and concepts with senior management, both in China and in the US, is key to success in this role. The person in this role must be creative, flexible, have a positive attitude, and be willing and able to make difficult decisions and recommendations.
The primary job responsibilities will include:
- Analysis of worldwide traffic and import/export rules, including rules of taxation and duties, and developing processes, policies, and recommendations for implementation.
- Coordination of import/export and material flow between US and PRC factories, and import/export and domestic material flows with suppliers and customers
- Selection and management of appropriate partners for handing logistics, and import/export processing, as required
- Traffic and logistics coordination for incoming and outgoing material
- Cost management and reporting for all costs associated with material import/export and logistics, including net VAT and duty impact, and logistics costs
- To keep up-to-date Processing Trade flow, and the related customs and inspection & quarantine policy Apply, extend (if necessary) and verify Handbook.
- Manage Handbook and ensure its accuracy,
- Deal with Customs / Inspection & Quarantine Bureau for clearance or inspection related issues
- Liaise with Customs broker to ensure proper customs clearance and the accuracy of Handbook Supervise the performance of Customs broker
- Applies logical root cause analysis, 5-why, to get to "true" root cause
- Takes tasks and executes to daily/weekly action plan with clear communication to effected groups
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or graduate-level college degree is required
- Extensive experience (5 or more years) in import / export analysis and management, is required. Some experience with planning, logistics, and traffic is also essential.
- A basic understanding of financial cost-benefit analysis, and experience with inter-company transfers and transfer pricing with WOFE is strongly desired
- Excellent skills with general computer use and office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, are required
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required
