Major Responsibilities:

Ongoing Tasks

· Coordinate the monthly forecast process.

· Develop the best set of statistical models in preparation for the monthly Product Line Manager reviews. Provide detail analysis to identify trends and appropriate models to improve the viability of the forecast.

· Receive inputs from Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and regional sites, and incorporate into the global forecast.

· Solicit, validate and utilize customer provided forecast data when appropriate.

· Facilitate and direct the monthly forecast meetings between Marketing, Sales and regional distribution sites.

· Participate in the creation, maintenance, improvement, and reporting of forecast metrics for Supply Chain activities.

· Provide forecast training to Product Line Managers and others.

· Incorporate new lines of business into the standard CLS demand planning processes

· Perform analysis using Excel, Access and query tools.

Project Tasks

· Manage the forecast interface and reporting changes required for commercial organizational and distribution channel changes.

· Establish improvements to demand planning tools as appropriate.

· Improve forecast accuracy through measurement and detailed analysis.

· Assist in Sales & Operations Planning activities.

Qualifications:

· B.S. in Business, Logistics or a related field

· Knowledge and at least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain systems: forecasting, planning, inventory management, warehousing and distribution.

· Knowledge of Supply Chain and marketing processes.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (customer focused, enabling, engaging).

· Presentation skills, ability to load meetings in the absence of the Demand Planning Leader.

· Results oriented, detailed oriented, rigorous, forward looking.

· Technical education and experience in query tools, data compilation and manipulation for trend analysis and suggested solutions.

· Deep knowledge of the forecasting module in the Advanced Planning tool. Understanding of what algorithms are available and which to choose for particular models.

· Knowledge of forecast principles (APICS or IBF certification preferred) and some application of principles. Understanding of customers, sales & distribution channels. Conceptual understanding of other planning tools and how the Demand Management tools interact.

· Requires minimal supervision and overall adequacy and accuracy is reviewed periodically

Key Decision Areas:

· Demand planning decisions.

· Review and analyze cost benefits of Supply Chain initiatives.

· Determine optimal statistical algorithms for sales forecasting.

· Assist, support, and perform the reconciliation of regional and global forecast alignment.

· Assist, support, and perform the reconciliation of business unit rollups with total market / share expectations.

· Assist, support and incorporate customer forecasts into business unit forecast
