Day to Day Responsibilities: Scope of Responsibilities

· Conduct legal research and monitor developments in relevant IP areas

· Serve as a liaison to assist other Corning IP attorneys and agents with delivery of legal services to Corning’s businesses

· Support regional IP attorneys to advise Corning businesses on various IP matters in China and other parts of Asia, including related policies and regulatory frameworks

· Support regional IP attorneys in advising on IP matters related to transactions (licensing, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, collaborations, etc.), including conducting IP due diligence, assisting with post-merger IP integration, and document drafting, review and negotiations

· Help develop and provide IP training to Corning scientists, plant personnel, and managers in China

· Help implement information protection strategies for Corning’s China and other Asia operations

· Help draft IP agreements and other legal documents

Education & Experience

Requirements
？
· Bachelor’s degree in law, or Bachelor’s degree in Science and Engineering plus a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, from a top-tier Chinese University
？
· Qualification as PRC lawyer
？
· 1-2 years of relevant legal working experience in a law firm is a plus
？
· Prior legal experience working for or advising technology companies is a plus


Required Skills
？
· Highly motivated individual with desire for long term role of increasing responsibilities with Corning
？
· Bilingual-excellent English (capable and comfortable in both oral and written communication) and Mandarin (written and oral)

· Technical background and/or experience, and aptitude for working with new technologies

· 1-2 years law firm or multi-national company legal experience

· Some basic understanding of the US legal system and/or work experience
