Senior Motor/Gear Design Engineer
Applicants should have a formal electrical/mechanical qualification and experience in the design of AC motor and Gear System for household electrical appliance. Knowledge of the subsequent production and quality support activities are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Motor and Gear System design and development of new products, which meet the Product Design Specification.
- Production & Quality Supports (e.g. analysis of quality problems and implementing corrective action internally and with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence).
- Specification of test requirements and development. Direction of prototype testing, testing equipment/fixtures design and development.
- Liaise with customers and other departments as required.
- Management of own Project Deliverables
Requirement
- Degree or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferable.
- Experience in AC Motor and/or Gear System design and development. (preferably with experience in electrical kitchen appliances).
- CAD Design – (Preferably NX and/or CATIA)
- Practical and methodical design development through prototyping and testing.
- Knowledge and experiences of International Safety Approval Standards.
- Systematic approach to problem solving.
- Self-starter - ability to work independently.
- Good communication in both English and Mandarin.
- Five days’ work in Dongguan, China.
