SUMMARY: The Production Manager will be responsible for the timely delivery and quality of Under Armour product by overseeing all aspects of production and quality assurance within a particular contract partner or factory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.

· Directs and coordinates all production and quality activities in close collaboration with all support functions of the assigned product team.

· Understands the product and vision of the Under Armour brand.

· Communicates and drives Under Armour production and quality objectives throughout the factory.

· Implements and leads all quality initiatives within a particular factory; TQM (Total Quality Management), Lean, 6-Sigma.

· Is proactive in identifying ways to reduce defective returns, increase productivity and sustain results.

· Provides monthly production reports that includes; defective return rates, on-time delivery, B-grades, VOC consumption, labor working hours and factory turn-over rates and compliance issues.

· Manages the materials lab.

· Leads internal factory quality audits on a monthly basis.

· Works closely with the Development and Commercialization team to identify and solve potential mass production issues early in the product process.

· Is an innovative source of ideas to the product team through working with related vendors and manufacturers.

· Is able to co-operate and communicate well with an internationally diverse group of colleagues around the world; is able to work closely with suppliers and manufacturers.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· At least 5 years’ experience working in the footwear industry in a technical capacity (strong understanding of footwear manufacturing – pattern engineering, mold making, grading, material processing, etc).

· IT knowledge

· Preferably holds a degree in a post-secondary discipline (ex. Associate’s degree, B.A, etc).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

· Fluent in speech and written skills in both Mandarin and English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
