职位描述
Job Duties:
* Textile development:
- Assist in the textile development for the apparel category.
- Review and source seasonal mill collections to find the best fabrications suited for each product category
- Inform Creative team about fabric, color, and print trends
- Update and maintain the textile database and spec sheets.
- Coordinate Lab Dip approvals
- Order and manage all raw materials necessary for garment production.
* Timeline Execution and Team Collaboration:
- Reports to the Fabric Manager in China and dotted line reports to the US Bag Product and Materials team.
- Work with all mill partners to track developments, deliveries and meet timelines.
- Work closely with the Development team to prioritize and execute all key projects.
- Collaborate with Creative and Product on fabric pre-concept stage; put specific developments into work to enhance the line.
- Organize and present all fabrics for key meetings.
- Outline all fabric developments, outstanding issues and address any problems with Product and Creative teams.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of quality and color approval tracking chart being aware of deadlines for meetings and production including all deliverables for sales sample and bulk production “buy ready”.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience relevant fabric development and management experience specific to bags and luggage product categories preferred.
- Major in textile science, business management, industrial design or fashion design with bachelor degree background is preferable
- Have a strong understanding of textiles and product life cycle, preferably in the action sports and/or outdoor sporting goods business.
- Good written or spoken English and Mandarin required
- Proactive and motivated team player
- The position may require some overnight travel if need.
- Locate in Kunshan (昆山市) , work in Kunshan.
