职位描述：

Bühler is a specialist and technology partner for plant and equipment and related services for processing basic foods and manufacturing highgrade materials. In order to enhance our strength in Dryer industry, we would like to look for R&D Team Leader who will work closely with both internal Engineering/Manufacturing in China and U.S. and external customer & suppliers.
The candidate will report directly to Process Engineering Manager who is U.S. national and English speaker. He/She

will be responsible for managing the R&D team to develop quality, cost-effective thermal processing solutions in

accordance with Buhler product development needs.The daily work will be:

- Manage designs through Concept and Detailed Design phases in accordance with Buhler RD Procedures ;
- Coordinate all required training for RD team to adhere to design standards within Buhler group ;
- Work with appropriate market intelligence providers, engineering and manufacturing personnel, purchasing teams,

etc to ensure acceptable design completion, achieving milestones on target ;
- Understand the drying concept defined by Product Manager, including capacity, size, drying efficiency ,

performance request, target cost, challenges, etc. ;
- Consult with Product Manager and overall business plan to understand and drive cost/time targets ;
- Effectively communicate updates on cost/time targets at appropriate intervals/milestones. Determine corrective

actions where required ;
- Work directly with suppliers (internal/external) to understand limitations and define solutions to reach cost targets and work with fulfillment team to ensure proper work flow for product manufacturing, and that design is

meeting cost target;

- Visit prototype installations for feedback towards design modification. Drive for final product handover to FF

as required by Buhler RD Procedures.

岗位要求：

- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Mechanical direction is preferred;
- Above 8 years’ experience in design and manufacture of capital equipment related to thermal processing (dryers,

air conditioning, chemical processing equipment, etc);
- Proficient in engineering/drafting, mathematics, and engineering principles and calculations including

thermodynamics, heat transfer, strength of materials, stress analysis and dynamics;
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work, for oneself and

others, based on direction from management ;
- Able to communicate and work effectively with headquarter in the US for guidance and technical support;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interface effectively
with people from a variety of backgrounds such as trades, purchasing, and suppliers, marketing, management and customers;
- Proposal of alternative solutions, new ideas, and suggestions for improvement.
