Job description:
1. Assists in material procurement: direct materials (materials and components directly used in the production of finished goods), machines, tooling and tools for production, indirect materials, services and utilities, services from suppliers and/or subcontractors.
2. Assists in developing of new suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor closely the market in order to identify new opportunities for cost reductions (or cost avoidance). Marketplace scouting.
3. Assists in developing and negotiating contracts or supply agreements, issuing of RFQs and follow up.
4. Visits suppliers to evaluate and monitor both products and processes.
5. Joins in supplier claim management (8D process).
6. Complies with Gnutti Carlo Group Purchasing & Supplier Management Policies and Practices ISO/TS 16949 compliant.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor Degree or above, 5-10 years related working experience.
2. Familiar with engine components is preferential
3. Familiarity with metalworking processes (forging, machining, heat treatments, surface treatments) and materials (cast iron and steel)
4. Quality background (ISO/TS 16949, APQP, 8D)
5. Availability to frequent business trips in China for suppliers’ onsite inspection is a must
6. Proven negotiation skills are preferential
