Job Purpose:
Manage and execute the Equipment development process from concept to product confirmation in Asia. Primary workload to include entry and core level projects including key model color-ups.
Key Requirements:
? Project Management: Coordinate and supervise prototyping in Asia from tech package receipt through to initial production. Accurately document Development and Manufacturing issues relating to the product process.
? Communication: Effectively communicates with Regional & Category Development and all NLO departments ensuring on-time and accurate information.
? Decision Making: Actively participates in meetings with Product Creation team during all phases of development process.
? Assure Product Performance: Recommend and specify to Product Creation team the material, component, and constructions options to meet pricing targets, key features, and product performance goals
? Develop Technical Competencies: Develop understanding of technical product details, costing and quality implications, mold making, materials, Laboratory, Manufacturing, and relevant processes.
? Actively participates in development process planning with factory and NLO departments. Understand the working methods and cultural norms of source countries and
Preferred Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Engineering
? Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, Engineering or related field)
? 4-6 years related Equipment product type development, production, product testing or marketing experience; Product knowledge and/or Product Creation knowledge preferred.
? Ability to conceptualize and implement project construction. Knowledge of computers and various software applications. Basic time-management skills and multiple project management ability. Knowledge of mathematics involved in costing, pricing and determining margins.
? Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects at a time. Attention to detail, concentration, problem solving and ability to conceptualize and implement project construction.
? Clear, timely and effective written and oral communication in English.
? Ability to work cooperatively in a group to achieve a common goal.
? Ability to persuade and influence.
? Ability to plan, organize and conduct effective meetings.
? Ability to work with and understand diverse cultures.
