We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our team at our new facility in Wujiang, China.

SUMMARY
Directs, controls and coordinates the Kester manufacturing, quality, customer service, purchasing, engineering, shipping and receiving efforts to achieve the division goals relating to quality, customer service levels, product costs, distribution costs, and inventory levels. Formulates and implements procedures that are in concert with ITW philosophy, management style and organizational culture. Coordinates activities within the Wujiang facility as well as with other global sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –

? Assure that the quality of production and purchased products meets or exceeds the required standards.

? Support/lead corporate operational initiatives; report progress/results to corporate leadership.

? Develop and implement systems and controls to assure that the division’s customer service goal of on-time shipping performance is achieved.

? Establish and implement effective budgeting, cost control, and cost reduction programs that assure the division operational cost targets are achieved.

? Measure and evaluate individual performance against clearly defined accountable abilities, responsibilities and objectives.

? Implement and manage an effective Market Rate of Demand replenishment system.

? Develop and promote a management style and culture that encourages teamwork, cooperation, participative management techniques, and the human relations philosophy of ITW.

? Establish and manage a manufacturing environment consistent with ITW’s philosophies of In-Lining, cellularization and product line dedication.

? Formulate and implement medium to long term manufacturing strategies to assure the future competitive position of the division.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Business-related field, Master’s Degree (M.S.) preferred.
? Five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemicals manufacturing.
? Must be able to effectively communicate (read/write/speak) in English.
? Ability to travel as required (estimated 5% - 10%)
