Job Title : Senior Quality Executive – Water




2. EXPECTED WORK

FACTORY QUALITY

? The candidate is expected to manage the Quality Assurance systems of the Pureit devices in the 2P manufacturing unit in China
o Responsible for creating, sustaining the QA systems in factory. He/she would focus and implementing QA systems for existing products as well as innovations in sync with R&D team and Central QA team

? Drive quality improvement plans to reduce consumer complaints through design changes, process changes
.
? Ensure adherence to hygiene practises and set up monitoring systems in line with HACCP requirements.

? Drive technical efficiency improvement programs and put controls in place for achieving technical efficiency targets.

? Implement and monitor supplier quality improvement programs for key suppliers for RM PM like boxes, Styrofoam, electrical parts, etc
? Drive Six Sigma methodologies in the 2P unit for technical efficiencies.
? Evolve clear training programs for unskilled workers induction into the system.

MARKET QUALITY

– Coordinate with Sales & IT team for field data on the product failures, collate and feed into central QA. Analyse using tools like pareto, trend charts to track quality performance of products in the market

– Study the trends as given by the data above and initiate preventive and corrective actions appropriately

– Have capability to handle quality issues in local countries. Coordinate with development in Mumbai to resolve new/other issues which cannot be resolved on site

– Support UL China CRM team in implementation of complaints handling/monitoring MIS and reporting to India.

- Ensure no violation of line quality (both incoming, outgoing and process quality) systems
- Driving HACCP, quality improvement programs
- Manage quality issues of bought out parts
- Effective change management (implementation of formulation changes, innovation launches, etc)


5. CHANGE
( describe quality of innovation required : describe any new activities which have been or need to be initiated) Give upto 5 examples

- new & state of the art processes like automating assembly processes to improve quality (like drive process capability improvements)
- Facilitate deployment of systems like TPM/5S in factories.
- Poka Yoke (fool proofing systems), implementation

9. PERSONAL PROFILE
(list personal qualities, skills required, previous experience)

- Engineering/Science degree
- Fluency in English language is a MUST.
- Experience in manufacturing for at least 5 years in production/quality
- Preferably from automobiles/appliance/water purifier industry
- Exposure to ISO and similar QMS
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of TPM/5S, etc
- Six sigma exposure / certification.
- Some exposure to automation
