1. Shepherd the development of ideas into sustainability initiatives
o Sources potential sustainability proposals for discussion with Director
o Manage cross-functional collaboration in initial pilots of sustainability ideas, troubleshooting on own where possible and elevating to Director where not
o Facilitate project meetings to keep team members on topic, efficient, and accountable
o Measure outcomes of experiment, working alongside project team to analyze results and, where applicable, set future goals
o Document pilot results including outcomes, lessons, and recommendations
2. Conduct research on business and sustainability issues
o As required, gather information on specific business and/or sustainability issues from existing sources of knowledge, both internal (e.g. Strategy team) and external (partner organizations)
o For larger studies, structure problem statement together with Analyst, outlining the desired outcome
o Deliver reports or presentations summarizing findings and, where appropriate, recommending future action
3. Maintain network of external resources to aid sustainability efforts
o Implement strategy to engage external resources (subject matter experts, key stakeholders, potential partners, etc.), representing Walmart China in closed-door discussions with outside organizations when Director not available
o Maintain resource ‘map’ to document collaboration for future reference
o As requested, liaise with Walmart Bentonville, Global Sourcing, or other colleagues who can share relevant knowledge, expertise, and/or financial resources
4. Build robust information gathering and sharing routines
o Collect information on all sustainability efforts at Walmart China, particularly financial analysis demonstrating contributions to productivity loop
o Respond to internal requests on sustainability topics, as assigned
o Create ‘space’ for feedback from business units, sourcing grassroots ideas for consideration
5. Coach others for improved engagement and performance
o Train and develop talent in Analyst, providing challenging tasks and regular constructive feedback
基本任职条件
1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. Relevant Master’s degree preferred
3. 6-8 years experience in project management, business development, and/or strategy required
4. Previous middle to senior managerial Consulting, Finance, or Retail experience preferred
5. Passionate about doing work with lasting impact; motivated in balancing long-term ideas with immediate action
6. Inquisitive personality which seeks to understand issues deeply and from multiple perspectives; constantly asking questions; quick to adapt and progresses in work with minimal guidance
7. Excellent cross-cultural, cross-functional communication skills and influence
8. Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams
9. Able to structure problems logically, breaking issues down into manageable components; familiar with experimental design; comfortable with numerical analysis
10. Strives to enable company success and recognizes efforts of others before own actions, demonstrating strong commitment to coaching and developing team members
11. Fluent in spoken English; fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese
12. Comfortable with frequent (~30%) travel, domestic and international
13. Adaptable to different work settings (office, store, supplier sites) as needed
