JOB SUMMARY (Briefly explain job’s purpose/objective and how it fits into the dept. and/or org.)

To provide technical advice and service to the merchandise managers enable them to secure appropriate and feasible orders from regional counterparts.

To ensure timely, effective and accurate communication of technical information between regional counterparts, colleagues, suppliers and factories that enables the produced garments to meet the required standards of design, fit and quality. 提供成衣技术建议及服务给跟单部门,确保他们从地区客人处争取到订单;在地区客人,跟单同事,供应商以及工厂之间,确保各方及时、有效、准确了解技术要求等相关信息,使生产出的产品在设计、质量方面均符合要求。


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Please select 4-5 most important duties, responsibilities, or key deliverables of the position. Under each of those component headings, use bullet points to provide greater details. If possible, indicate the % of time spent on each area.)

1.

Attending fit meetings to provide technical input and advice and to communicate all changes required to suppliers / factories and merchandisers / merchandise managers.

出席成衣试身会议,提供技术意见,与供应商、工厂、跟单人员沟通关于所有必要的变动。

2.

Preparation of a computerized specification complete with measurements, quality standards and construction instructions.

电脑化准备成衣规格单,内容包括尺寸、质量标准、以及结构说明。

Liaison with merchandisers / merchandise managers and suppliers / factories as necessary to ensure complete understanding of requirements.

与跟单人员、供应商、工厂沟通,确保他们了解有关要求。

Undertake risk analysis of all new and proposed styles for the season with merchandisers / merchandise managers. Assist with re-engineering to meet price points where required.

5.

Assisting suppliers / factories and merchandisers / merchandise managers with problems and queries relating to garments.

6. Have a thorough understanding of fashion trends and how to interpret them for each regional counterpart’s product.

7. Monitor samples during development process according to regional calendars.

8. The regional counterparts / merchandiser / merchandise manager may require other associated tasks to be completed from time to time.

REQUIRIED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·Excellent written and verbal English.

良好的英文书写及口语能力。


·Pattern making: the ability to draft new and alter existing patterns (Gerber or Lectra).

纸样制作:能够制作或修正当前的纸样 (Gerber 或 Lectra) 。


·A working knowledge of grading.

掌握放码知识。


·Technically strong in garment construction.

擅长成衣结构技术。


·Attending fit sessions.

能出席试身会议。


·Excellent knowledge in sewing (operating the machines).

·The ability to calculate yields for garments.

2. Minimum Educational Level

·3-4 year Fashion Design degree or 2 year diploma in clothing and textiles or industry equivalent.

3. Minimum Work Experience

·Relevant industry experience in production/garment construction.
