Key Areas of Responsibility：

· ETO(-Engineering to Order) Know-how management – solutions, method and tools management

· KPI’s – definition and responsibility for main ETO indicators

· Ensures compliance with product lifecycle and development procedures and processes as well as all applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

· Optimizes the product creation process in the context of organizational and market dynamics.

· Optimizes the technological competencies of the ETO team against the expected product development projects.

· Supervises hires, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the development function.

· Assesses emerging technologies and determines how to map them into product development roadmaps. Keeps abreast of technical developments through literature, technical contacts, and industry competition.

Job Requirements & Skills

· Bachelor or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least 8 years of relevant experience in the Product design, engineering, manufacturing of relevant industry and products with quantifiable results. Lighting product experience is perferred, especially LED Luminaries.

· At least 8 to 10 years’ product development experience. At ease with dealing with sales and external customers to obtain understanding of requirements and translating that into product specifications.

· Proficient in reading and interpreting all design and development documents, specifications, and bids, and recommending necessary changes or additions.

· Understands and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial environment for ETO product design and development, balancing the need for structure within engineering and manufacturing plant environments.

· Strong team management skill, leadership, autonomy, focused on customer demands, drive for results, team player, pro-active, stress resistant, accountable and reliable, quality driven, open to new ideas and different points-of-view, self-steering, focused and determined to finish actions started, sees through to completion.

· Good English skills
