Job description
This position is in Smart City, Industry Solution, SWG, which is a key growth engine for IBM, and mainly focus on i2 products. As a Client Solution Professional, you are IBM’s technical sales consultant to our clients, and a technical sales leader for IBM sales teams and/or Business Partners. You will learn the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and apply your technical knowledge and experience to bring new solutions to your assigned clients. You will provide technical sales support which may include: collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions; provide technical presentations and live demonstrations; deliver pre-defined hands-on sessions, called PoT (Proof of Technology), deliver Proofs of Concept; develop and deliver technical education; create and deliver Readiness Plans; deliver Proof of Concepts; participate in support -related responsibilities to assist in critical situations; design solutions; and answer technical questions. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, you are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of Public industry experience, especially Smart City
- 3+ years of solution/ architecture design experience, especially familiar with IBM SOA, and have experience of solution and architecture design in big system integration projects, better to have experience of project implementation
- 3+ years of pre-sale experience.
- Exposure to i2 products would be a distinct advantage
- Technical experience in some of the following: C#, SQL Server, Java, Oracle, Web applications development
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of the i2 portfolio and be able to assist partners in training and during sales cycles.
- Should also be able to explain and position i2 offerings in the context of the wider IBM software portfolio and be able to teach others to qualify sales opportunities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to effectively present technical material to small and large groups
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent written, oral communication and strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
