Requirements

* Bachelor's degree from Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electronics/Mechatronics engineering or related discipline.

* At least 8 years experience in the development, project management and production of juvenile products including
sound knowledge of fabric/plastics/metals selection, costing, and specification and associated manufacturing processes

* For this role, experience in car seat and travel system is required. Other experiences in JP products (bouncer,
swing, activities centre, play yard, high chair) are preferable.

* Previous experience in Pro E Modeling (3D and Surface), Mechanism Design, Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing, Material Science and Technology, Finite Element Analysis is definitely an asset.


Responsibilities

* Coordinate testing of parts and completed units to determine their reliability and safety. Recommend any
necessary changes and manage the implementation of the changes.

* Review sketches, engineering drawings, specifications and prototypes from vendors and internal sources to
determine feasibility, reliability and safety of the product.

* Actively manage new product timelines and ensure that vendors are on-track to meet committed ship dates.

* Work with Designers and Product Mangers in the development of product in regards to safety and reliability.

* Create product drawings, designs and sketches using a variety of media for internal and external communication
and review.

* Review new vendor facilities as required.

* Work with QC personnel to resolve any issues that arise during production.

* Assist vendor partners develop engineering & production capabilities when needed.

* Any additional duties and responsibilities based on the needs and evolution of the company's business, product
portfolio, and market conditions.
