JOB SUMMARY:?We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join a fast paced and growing team in Shenzhen. The SQE will analyze and continuously improve Beats by Dre’s quality systems, standards and policies for Beats’ Asian based (China) manufacturing partners. He/She will work to improve all quality issues related to vendors and suppliers of materials, products, or services used in development or manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Hands-on position accountable for the implementation and continuous improvement of Beats’ quality system, standards and policies.
? Implement QA operating procedures including: training, corrective action reports (CAR), engineering changes (ECx), document/part control, ICQ, OCQ, in-process quality controls, QA audits, OBA, DPPM, AFR and quality metrics tracking and daily/weekly analysis of first pass yield reporting.
? Oversee that product reliability testing standards and product acceptance criteria are followed.
? Assist in the investigation of product modifications to ensure quality standards are met.
? Enforce compliance for raw material (component), FG quality levels, SOPs, national and international safety standards; assist in quality audits and support capability audits at ODMs.
? Use Six Sigma processes to analyze quality issues and initiate problem solving efforts to determine root case and drive implementation of improvements
? Analyze the production process and WIP/raw material quality control; making adjustments to the production process as needed to assure the attainment of business objectives while insuring products standards will exceed Beats quality standards.
? Set’s up and maintains in Vendor qualification process to establish vendor’s AVL.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor/Engineering degree or higher with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar position in Consumer Electronics in a western company in China.
? Fully bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and English (CET-6). Cantonese is a plus.


? Chinese nationals are preferred (Western candidates with the above education and language skills who are willing to work on a Chinese salary package might apply)
? A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to process information quickly and in a ?manner that's consistent with existing procedures.
? Self-motivated, independent and confident to take initiative and carry out duties with minimal supervision.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPECTATIONS:

? Proven track record of managing consumer electronics quality processes.
? Knowledge and experience in quality control programs, engineering and technology principles and practices. (Preference given to candidates with experience in consumer electronics components, including injection molded parts, tooling and assembly.)
? Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, identifying and addressing problems, and meeting deadlines.
? High level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
? Adheres to all requirements for confidentiality of corporate and R&D information.
? Adheres to direction from management on sudden changes in personal schedules and priorities.
? Willingness to stay at ODM factories for a consecutive period of days/weeks.

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Mastery of Mac OS and Windows applications.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
