PLACE IN ORGANISATION:
Head for North East Asia Mix creation – CMI Foods, Responsible for both Mix creation and Mix & Mix deployment in China Foods.
The scope of the job includes :
• The job has Regional Scope covering: China, Taiwan and Hongkong.
• consumer and market insight at a branded project level to guide regional innovation and communication projects in the regional operating business units.
• Represent the voice of the consumer in all decision making in the business
• Manage day-to-day regional innovation and communication projects
• Provide insights and identifies business opportunities to guide the future strategy .
The tasks involved will cover the following:
• As CMI lead for the Savoury categories the manager is expected to feed into and influence the regional platform strategy, ensuring the consumer is at the center of decisions.
• In charge of the platform insight plan: develops & manages the insight plan to ensure all strategic knowledge is complete for the platform.
• Manages primary research projects, both qualitative and quantitative, undertaking secondary data analysis as required
• Manages the multi-country regional projects and manages the regional leg of global research studies
• He/She is also directly responsible for Market Insights within the team – being the center of knowledge and information on the region, as well as leading ad hoc analysis for the region’s growth agenda. In particular, Menu Check, Retail audit and Consumer panel.
• Synthesizes primary and secondary research in order to guide decision making
• Represents the voice of consumer and ensures that consumer knowledge is well embedded into the team’s decision making
• Networks with Customer Shopper counterparts to ensure that local consumer & shopper insight is integrated into regional innovation and communication projects
• Implements Unilever CMI best practice .
• Leads Direct consumer contact program.
• Pilots key insights into action within the team.
INDEPENDENT AND AGENT OF CHANGE:
The position is expected to act as the voice of consumer in the team and be independent and balanced and constantly be aware that CMI is an independent function and keep the connection with the functional CMI team .
CMI Manager is expected to ensure that the business is externally focused on the consumer.
This position should actively participate to change the role of CMI from form being advisor to influencer.
The impact of the decisions taken by the CMI manager will be seen throughout the duration of the innovation projects.
Position Requirements :
• At least 7 years experience in research, and at least 3 years in a senior market research requirment
• Skills on the level identified below
• Can create research programmes for the platform needs and manage researches independently
• Foods-related experience will be a significant advantage .
• Has passion for food and cooking
