Summary:
This position serves as the Hershey liaison at key customers covering logistics, order fulfillment, demand planning, and general operations. The person in this role will proactively develop working relationships with customer key decision-makers and appropriate Hershey functions to facilitate the creation of joint logistics opportunities and issues resolution. Proven experience with customer and Hershey business practices, roles, and information systems is a critical success factor, along with a working knowledge of order generation, forecasting, and order to cash processes. Fundamental to this position is the establishment of mutual performance expectations and monitoring vehicles in conjunction with effective and timely communication throughout both organizations. Specifically, this position will have complete ownership and compliance monitoring responsibility for the customer-generated scorecard. He/she will identify, initiate, and lead various projects, resulting in mutually beneficial improvements.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate efforts to meet or exceed all customer-defined supply chain performance metrics such as case fill rate, retail in stock and inventory weeks. Communicate monthly performance with Sales and Supply Chain Management team. Analyze root cause for metrics below target, develop plans for issues resolution and coordinate improvement activities.
2. Collaborate with National Key Accounts and Distributors to assess and improve end-to-end supply chain responsiveness and cost. Evaluate and provide Supply Chain solutions for Whitespace Markets. Take the lead in all distributor assessment for Supply chain, provide support for Distributor transition.
3. Collaborate with Hershey Sales team, customer replenishment team and distributor team to identify and recommend order replenishment for all basic, promotion, and seasonal items and new product launches.
4. Work with cross functional team and distributors to close gaps coming from Hershey Distributors Audit including QA Distributor Audit, reduce heat damage, infestation, set up distributor warehouse standards & process.
5. Utilize knowledge of Customer Retail System to develop reporting and presentation materials. Participates in customer meetings where appropriate. Provides regional support on key projects that will improves distributor /customer replenishment process and system.
6. Serve as liaison with customer on any supply chain issue. Assist customers to resolve the issues.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
1. Education:BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
2. Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in Customer Service, Logistics, Business Management or related fields.
3. Proficient in understanding of fundamental business management and supply chain principles and concepts
4. Capacity to work within multiple internal and customer information systems.
5. Thorough understanding of key internal and customer forecasting, order generation, and order fulfillment processes
6. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, powerpoint
7. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and customer partners at all levels
8. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
9. Proven self-starter with ability to take initiative and follow-through to completion
10. Ability to maintain focus on Hershey goals and improvements while working with customers
