SUMMARY
Based in Shanghai, Our Global Operations Services Computing & Storage Team is seeking a Test Development Engineer who will be required to be able to perform low to medium complexity engineering work. The types of work performed include development of test solution quotes, development of test solutions, test crisis support and continuous improvement of core competency. The successful test development engineer candidate will be a self-starter who likes to take responsibility and works best with little supervision.

This is a 'hands-on' role requiring a strong technical background and product test development and design experience.
The successful candidate MUST have a background with experience in developing test solutions for :
Storage Products: JBODs, Storage Controllers (Filers, RAID heads), DAS, NAS, SAN Storage, IP-SAN storage and related technologies.

Server Products: X86, Xeon class, Atom class, AMD, Opteron class, Athlon class, multi-core ARM, multi-core MIPS

Blade Center: Storage, Server and Network Blades along with supporting technologies


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE include the following (ones in BOLD are a MUST)
? Proficient in the following test development engineering areas: Design for Test, Test program software development (ANSI C, Tckl, Java, C#, C++, HTML, PERL, ASP, Visual C, Visual Basic, Test Executives, LabView, TestStand, etc), Climatic Testing, Dynamics Testing, Accelerated Life Testing, FMEA, Life Cycle and ORT from a product level
? Experience with PCB design, schematic capture/creation and physical PCB layout.
? Knowledge of the ECAD tools used for schematic and PCB creation.
? Experience with test fixture design for board (PCBA) and system level testing.
? Experience with FPGA/CPLD programming and test vector generation tools
? Experience with Embedded OS's and RTOS for both POST and run time diagnostics
? Experience with design verification theory and tools
? Experience with System and Software Compatibility Testing at a theory and tool level
? Experience with Field Testing theory and program application


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Write test-plans, procedures & co-ordinate with the C&S test groups and design groups in multi-nation locations
? Define, implement and verify system and/or sub-system level test programs and procedures
? Perform In-House training and mentoring of a multi-discipline engineering staff
? Development reliable test strategies and programs to support Jabil C&S project production test.
? Analyze failure reports for use in refining product test reliability models/programs and driving test program
product improvements
? Develop product test solutions and specifications of medium to high complexity at both the PCBA and integrated System Level
? Manage project budget and schedule commitments from test solution quotes and proposals
