Role Summary
Define and evaluate synchronous-buck controller and converter products for computing power management market.
Primary Responsibility
· Large and small signal design knowledge of buck, boost, and other power topologies is needed, with a deep knowledge of voltage mode, current mode, and hysteretic mode control.
· Good customer interface skills to position existing products, support existing products with local FAE' and customers, and define critical specifications for new parts that meet customer' requirements as well as TI business goals.
· During the development of the defined products, the systems engineer must be able to model critical functions through Mathcad, Verilog, or other appropriate tool, evaluate the device performance in target applications, validate the entire product operating range, and work with design to correct any issues found through silicon evaluation.
· The engineer is responsible for creation of the datasheet, defining the evaluation modules (EVMs) and design methodology, modeling the final device performance, and supporting all initial customers.
Qualifications
· Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate with internal team members (design, test, application, FAE) and external customers to achieve the agreed-upon business and product goals.
· A BSEE is mandatory, with at least 5 years of experience in power is preferred.
