JOB SUMMARY:
Beats By Dre is seeking an experienced high-caliber Electrical Engineer with a strong passion for developing innovative consumer electronics to participate in Beats’ next generation product development activities in Shenzhen, China.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead electrical designs through fast-paced product development cycles and work cross-functionally to combine transducers, electronics, firmware and software and into high performing, user-friendly devices.
- Drive detailed hardware design that fulfills the product requirements while meeting schedule, cost and performance goals.
- Participate in design and engineering validation and manufacturing activities at contract manufacturers and suppliers as needed.
- Interface across multiple product development disciplines: Hardware, Software, DSP, Mechanical, RF, Program Management, Compliance, Quality.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor of Science in an Electrical Engineering or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in high-volume consumer electronics industry required.
- Demonstrated competencies in the design of electronics products.
- Demonstrated experience integrating with cross-functional groups including validation, manufacturing, test, reliability, quality, and compliance.
- Experience with hand-off to manufacturing and cross-communications between development and third party vendor and OEM/ODM/CM teams.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure - must be a team player.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills required. Must be able to speak Mandarin and English

Additional desirable, but not mandatory, skills include:
Past experience working for a start-up electronics company desired.
Experience working for a tier-1 OEM/ODM preferred.

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
Thorough working knowledge of Linux, Mac OS and Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project.

MISCELLANEOUS:
? May travel by car or plane domestically or possibly internationally up to 20%.
? Integrally involved with product launches, necessitating additional work hours and evening and weekend commitments both for events and team communications.
? Works effectively under high level of pressure and demanding time lines.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
? Adheres to all requirements for confidentiality of corporate, finance and R&D information.
? Adheres to direction from management on distribution controls, secure filing and disposal, records retention and storage for drawings, contracts and other sensitive materials.
