LOCATION: Guangdong, China with InterAsia Travel
DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance, Accessories
REPORTS TO: Director, Quality and Manufacturing
SUMMARY: Drives Accessories product integrity at the Vendor level by implementing systems, training Factory personnel, and conducting audits of Incoming Materials, In Process Manufacturing, and Finished Goods. Partners with Sourcing and Development to reduce defect rates and defective customer returns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.
Conducts statistical audits of raw materials, in-process and finished product at various Under Armour manufacturing facilities and subcontractors.
Provides accurate and objective feedback of Supplier audits. Communicates audit information with other departments.
Assist in the training and certification of Auditors at the various Under Armour Vendors.
Assist in assuring Under Armour’s Accessories quality standards are clearly understood and maintained at all Vendors. Ensure Supplier to follow Under Armour Quality & Manufacturing standards
Partners closely with Sourcing and Development Departments to set up or standardize the process & related product integrity requirements
Drive product and process improvements at various Under Armour manufacturing facilities and subcontractors.
Provides monthly scorecards to Vendors and conducts in depth reviews to drive performance improvements
Assist in the close out of CAPs (Corrective Action Plans) with Vendors
Assist in the development, calibration, training and certification of in-house labs at the various Under Armour Vendors.
Provide technical support to Development team and Vendors during Product Commercialization Process and during Mass Production
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trains, certifies, mentors, and supervises Certified Factory Auditors
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5 or more years’ experience in manufacturing and quality control / assurance.
Strong background in material/product technology, and manufacturing processes such as cut and sew, bonding, injection molding, sublimation, and finishing .
Awareness of product testing and compliance, as well as quality systems best practices
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong attention to detail, and follow up. Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks. 6Sigma or Lean experience is plus. Excellent communication skills with solid people skills and a real team player approach. Ability to be assertive without being offensive. Self-motivated, works under own direction. Ability to work well under pressure. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to travel frequently.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English is a requirement. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, etc. in English as well as Mandarin Chinese is also required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
