The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for developing a robust and reliable Sales Plan and challenging assumptions on sales forecast; executing supply plan; consolidating demand signals across various business units; and acting as the escalation point for GCI issues and resolutions.
1. Drive Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, challenge assumptions of future demands, and support cross functional teams to achieve the consensus forecast.
2. Gap identification. Highlight gaps between forecast and business target during S&OP meetings. Work with sales and marketing to capture action plans and reflect it in the revised forecast.
3. Maintain forecast and supply allocation in the system:
1. Data uploading into APO
2. Conversion between Available for Sale and Warehouse Replenishment Forecast (ETA)
3. Customer level allocation (gift pack and single pack for example)
4. Maintain and allocate C2S in APO.
4. Consolidate demand and supply information from various Business Units of GCI: Food Services, Ingredients, Brands, Taiwan (3 entities), and Hong Kong and translate both qualitative and quantitative data into reports that can be used for business executives to make critical business decisions on. In-depth analysis/recommendations are part of the value-adding activities this role needs to perform.
5. Single point of contact (escalation point) for GCI business. This involves a great level of collaboration skills and the ability to bring different parties together to reach an optimum solution for any issues or areas of improvement.
6. Improve the reliability of inventory, service delivery levels, and customer service.
7. Own the day to day forecast process to ensure that appropriate issues have been resolved and communicated with NZ supply team.
8. Identify and report impending or potential out-of-stocks.
