GENERAL FUNCTION
Commercialize and provide technical direction on all SRCG product in each factory partner. This job position is primarily focused on ensuring that the product has all the key performance and safety features of each gender and that the product is built and commercialized to the highest standards which reflect Stride Rite’s nearly 100 years of being in the Kid’s product marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enhance product by elevating the grading pass just the factory default and ensure that we are engineering the product to the kids safety and product requirements.
2. Ensure that product is reviewed at the Initial Sample Review and that key suggestions are recommended to Product Development is implemented into product from the beginning.
3. Product is reviewed during the Tech Teardown stage prior to the Final Sample Review and that ALL suggestions are implemented prior to Advance Samples and Sales samples.
4. Product is commercialized with specific gender in mind and from an “Aesthetic Product Eye”.
5. Ensure that all product is on the required timelines and Extreme Fit samples, Pre-production meetings, and Pre-production trials are held according to the required WWW timelines.
6. All Commercialization target timing is updated according to project status is updated correctly in the Online Commercialization Tracking System by Fridays of each week.
7. Model fit technical reviews with the factory teams are held prior to starting Commercialization.
8. All Development tooling (lasts and bottom molds) is reviewed by the commercialization technician to ensure correct fit, proper mold construction, appropriate upper construction, various widths are checked (M, W, and XW), performance features, and all gauges are reviewed prior to starting Commercialization.
9. PPM’s and PPT’s are attended and documented to the PD, Quality, and Manufacturing team upon completion with either a “Pass” or “Fail”. Reasons for improvement must be documented upon a failure and then rescheduled.
10. Ensure that all Fit and Wear trials are checked on the last and measured to our SRCG standards prior to sending to the US.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1. Factory commercialization experience.
2. Work Experience in large US shoes brands preferable.
3. Self-directed as well as working with the team.
4. Motivated and willing to learn.
5. Be proficient in both spoken and written English.
6. Understand the whole commercialization process and the technical aspects of last making, sole making, upper patterns, and grading.
7. Excel, Word, and Power point (MS Office test should be completed during interview).
8. CAD and Crispin experience.
9. Knowledge of Outsole process, molding process, outsole compounds, and all tooling.
