Business Development Manager - Reverse Logistics


Our client is a global provider of customized supply chain solution who provides services to add value for client's operations. Their range of service covers inbound logistics, fulfillment, reverse logistics, freight management, outbound export packaging, etc. for customers in the industries of technology, automotive, and telecom, etc.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to SVP Reverse Logistics, the Business Development Manager is responsible of selling supply chain services to technology sector in Asia Pacific Market.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform all duties as assigned by the SVP Rev Log.
  2. Work with customer to identify areas where the company can provide services according to market
  3. Works within a defined and approved target list to identify relevant new business opportunities.
  4. Responsible for total understanding of all details of specifically managed contracts and communicates understanding to all parties, most especially Project and Operational teams.
  5. Maintains an adequate and appropriate pipeline to meet individual and team new business revenue goals.
  6. Ensures SOW requirements are clearly communicated and met by operations and that continuous improvement initiatives are executed.
  7. Defends pricing internally and externally to customer as required.
  8. Work with customer to develop the overall business case, where necessary.
  9. Completely understand customer expectations and ensure meeting the expectations.
  10. Assesses opportunities in regards to fit, to capability, strategic, and corporate direction
  11. Generates new business opportunities, i.e. RFP's, and closes new business that is adequate and appropriate to meet individual and team new business revenue goals
  12. Provide internal and external business development account management leadership.
  13. Understand and communicate ever changing marketplace requirements
  14. Works closely with the internal customer in order to establish a cohesive team including Plant Management, Accountants and all applicable management teams.
  15. Act as master communicator, both internally and externally with regards to their specific account.
  16. Directly responsible for ensuring profit margins and scope of work during the business contract execution
  17. Following company processes for new business development as they are defined or enhanced
  18. Accountable for Reporting and communications as required

Core Accountabilities

  1. Ensure all applicable documents is managed to all Corporate policies and procedures
  2. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
  3. Ensure clear communication to customer and internal customers of all scope of work contracted



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree required - MBA Preferred
  • Overall understanding of Technology Marketplace
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in selling supply chain solutions to the Technology Industry
  • Detailed technology industry knowledge
  • Fluent English communications on both written and spoken.
  • The ability to develop and evaluate options to implement solutions to complex problems.
  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • The ability to examine customer operation and provide solutions and upgrade through services provided.
  • Regular travel is required.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
