CLIENT SUMMARY
Our client, a European company, is a world-leading manufacturer of products based on air compressors for industrial, professional, semiprofessional, and DIY use.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is newly created, which contains three subordinates and report to purchasing director. This will assist the company moving forward and it's a stable position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Search and approve new suppliers
- Search and negotiate price, payment terms and lead time for new components
- Suppliers evaluations
- Handle quality issues in cooperation with QC/QA Department.
- Follow-up on purchase orders
- Update and maintain data
- Responsible for supplier delivery of the products problems by the communication, negotiation, etc.
- Update, maintain and improve ISO procedures
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
- More than 10 years procurement sourcing experience, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience.
- Demonstrate competence in negotiating skills and assessing vendors.
- Good team management and leadership ability.
- Professional communication; both verbal and written are required
