POSITION SUMMARY
Our Client is a world leader of electronics product manufacturer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The position is with the business unit of Consumer Devices which provides a broad range of connectivity solutions to various markets, including mobile phones, consumer electronics, personal computers (PC) and business equipment. It has a highly-diversified product portfolio from connectors, sockets, cable assemblies, antennas, and relays to circuit protection, sensors, magnetic and fiber optics. The Internal Interconnect Product Manager is responsible for product; customer and channel development associated with his/her product assignment.
1. Manage Internal Interconnect Product (Revenue, Pricing, Margin, Capital, Inventory)
2. Formulate strategic plans to exponentially grow profitable revenues including reaching out to all business process owners to develop a holistic business plan. P&L metrics will be the judge of PM success.
3. Understand applications of product technologies to address specific customer needs and contribute to the development of market based technology roadmaps.
4. Utilize product, market and competitive knowledge to recommend product pricing actions.
5. Partner with the Sales, FAE, Engineering and Operations organizations to manage the customer relationship which includes quality, delivery, profitability and the S&OP process.
6. Collaborate with Marketing on Product MARCOM and Channel Strategies to effectively promote new and existing products and ensure product awareness and availability.
7. Visit key regional customers with occasional global travel to manufacturing and consumption points.
8. Drive new product development to create superior and differentiated new products - ones that deliver unique benefits and superior value to the customer
9. Participate in industry and technology workshops to understand future design requirements. Drive technology development to stay ahead of Competition and provide value added solutions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Marketing or a related degree, MBA an advantage with a background in a Technology product or manufacturing environment.
2. 3+ years' experience in the field of electronic components.
3. Technical Sales or Product management experience.
4. Excellent oral and inter-personal skills for driving technical discussions within the Organization and with external stakeholders.
5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority.
6. Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
7. Ability to systematically manage the revenue growth and profitability of a product line or business.
8. Ability to develop and execute strategies in support of market segments, customers and products consistent within the overall business plan.
9. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal presentation communication skills.
10. Strong project management and negotiation skills.
11. Ability and willingness to travel as required.
