Recruitment process:

Responsibilities:

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for identifying reliable suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating and finalizing purchasing agreements, organizing delivery of raw materials, auxiliary materials, equipment and supplies required by the businesses in Asia and abroad.
+ Establish purchasing strategy for the company
+ Search of reliable suppliers
+ Identification of areas for savings
+ Monitoring of total applied cost of purchased items
+ Ensures that purchased items guarantee a working environment that meets all legal, environmental and safety standards
+ Ensure the respect of procedures in force in the quality systems and guards the content of ISO procedures, instructions and documents that are applicable in the department
+ Work in close cooperation with the Plant General Managers of the entities in China, and with the European sourcing manager, anticipating industrial needs and helps to implement improvement plans
+ Part and privy to company’s industrial development in China, the PM will be required to participate in the project teams as and when called upon
+ Live up to the standards set in the quality system, work rules, safety and environmental prescriptions
+ Support new developments working together with the Product Development function

Requirements:

+ Bachelor or Master degree is required
+ Min. 5 years experience in purchasing function
+ Purchasing experience in textile and chemical industry is preferred
+ Good negotiation skills, good communication skills, and pro-active
+ Tolerant and patient, adaptive to cultural differences but without losing focus on objectives
+ Speak native Chinese Mandarin and fluent English
+ Willing to travel
