Position : Fabric Technical Engineer

Working
Location: Dongguan

RESPONSIBILITY:

l Evaluate
the mills and manufacturers’ performance and search new mills and
fabrics

l Review
fabrics dyeing, washing method & quality standards which meet our customer
requirements

l Assist
fabric mills in interpreting our technical specification packages and involve in
the resolution of mill and Manufacturer of production
issues

l Evaluate
the fabric sourcing will meet company quality, environmental and safety
standards

l Develop
fabrics production plan and review policies and procedures

l Negotiate with fabric suppliers for pricing and
agreement

l Develop
practical solutions & technology innovation work, such as improvement
methods of dyeing on garment fabric

l Resolving issues within the time frame of the critical path

l Review
the care label requirements of fabric and monitoring the progress of lab dips
and bulk fabric for production

l Maintain
fabric standards and building the library, including the liaison of results to
manufacturing base

l Manage
and co-ordinate fabric inspections, review the reports includes but not limited
to test reports and inspection reports and take appropriate
actions

l Travel
to and visit fabric mill in Asia regions

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

l
Diploma or above with Color & Textile studies in fashion &
textile technology or related discipline;

l
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in textile gained from
fabric suppliers and garment manufacturing industry

l
Very strong knowledge of fabric technology, technical standard,
performance and production cost of different fabrics

l
Must have strong technical and fabric inspection
skills

l
Proactive, strong analytical and problem solving
skills

l
Good in communication skill and able to negotiate
effectively

l Good
Proficiency with MS office especially Word and Excel

l Good
command of written and spoken in English (English level in CET6 for PRC
candidate
