Are you the highly talented supply and relationship manager with a strong commercial as well as IT sourcing background currently seeking a new challenge? The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be managing global commodities for Peripherals and Print services as well as other IT services in the personal IT domain. This is a unique opportunity to influence and create supply innovation in an IT environment.

Using the skills you have developed as strategic sourcing leader you will source, contract, and manage suppliers who have a strong impact on our companies’ future IT landscape. You will work with top IT suppliers on what they can bring to our company, securing the proper contract engagements, driving the strategic programs with them as well as manage them via executive review meetings.

Responsibilities:

· Define direction and be responsible for sourcing, development, and qualification of suppliers that meet the business requirements;
· Responsible for direction and leadership of supplier relationships, supplier negotiations and supplier performance measurement and feedback programs;
· Ultimately responsible for the negotiation process for the assigned area and for delivering the total cost of ownership to support the profitability objectives of Philips;
· Lead, develop, assign, and monitor sourcing projects, including responsibility for (local) reporting, funding, agreed savings and (cost)budgets;
· Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with the various Philips businesses to ensure successful execution of sourcing strategies;
· Support in performing supplier reviews with IT and businesses to check on performance and ensure that the sourcing strategies contribute to the bottom line;
· Accountable for budget, quality, delivery and long-term assurance of supply objectives with the supply base are established and achieved. Responsible for development of sourcing strategies / concepts and translate these into solutions for the IT and business as a pro-active solution provider.

Team

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is part of the Global IT Supply Market, with strategic buyers in 4 different countries and 3 different continents. Your (supply) areas of responsibilities are the Peripherals and Print services for Philips IT around the globe. You interact with executives within Philips and you do business with board members of IT suppliers.

Under the umbrella of Philips Supply Management, Philips Indirect Materials and Services (IMS) is the one Philips provider for non-product related (NPR) purchasing services. Operating as a Shared Service Organization for Philips allows IMS to persistently add maximum value to the Philips bottom line. IMS delivers a closed loop purchasing cycle, covering strategic/tactical sourcing (creation of contracts) as well as transactional handling of the ‘procure to pay' process, through its outsourced Transactional Shared Service Centers.

IMS is organized along four global Supply Markets: IT, Forwarding & Distribution, Leverage (Marketing & Sales, Professional & Personnel Services, Facility Management & Industrial, Travel), On Demand Sourcing (in the 17 key regions). An essential element of all of the activities carried out by the Global Supply Market is the fact that it takes into account the business goals, objectives and requirements of the business. For the Supply Market IT we have the opening for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist IT.

We are looking for:

· Master (of Science) degree or equivalent
· More than 5 years of purchasing experience (required)
· Proven track record in major (IT) contract negotiations (required)
· Ability to act as functional leader and people manager
· Knowledge of the IT business environment
· Must have experience working/partnering with large IT vendors.
· Must have experience with Licensing agreements.
· Ability to work independently in a virtual, remote environment
· Fluency in English, both written and verbal
· Preferably have worked in different international locations
