职位描述
Job Responsibility
1. Is responsible for designing, engineering, planning, and day-to-day support of critical desktop platform for non-trading, investment banking applications and essential infrastructure services.
2. Needs to provide guidance and assists in the setup and configuration of complex non-trading environments including hardware setup, operating and database configurations.
3. Is responsible for basic operational processes and verification including operating system patches, technology life cycle management, continuous monitoring and performance tuning.
4. Leads problem resolution and recovery meetings, interacting and collaborating with team members and other departments, as appropriate, to ensure that the required activities will be performed as it relates to problem solving resolution and recovery.
5. Completes problem analysis and resolution, and leads Technical Recovery Teams in the restoration of service for highly complex problems.
6. Conducts post mortem meetings for root cause analysis of service impacting issues.
7. Communicates critical production problem status, resolution strategies, and rationale of the resolution strategies to senior management and executives to keep them informed of critical production problems and to gain approval on operational activities.
8. Provides technical consultation in project and planning teams regarding technology standards, practicality and supportability of chosen architecture.
9. Contributes to the completion of projects by positioning the team (e.g., training the team on new technology), in order to support the new components and technology.
10. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to senior management and executives, from a support, performance, and technical enhancement perspective to aid decision-making with regards to improving the application support process.
11. Manages and liaises with technology vendor for project based technology implementation, procurement and licensing. Manage service vendors to the responsibilities outlined in the contract and statement of work, as well as handle escalation.
12. Consults with third party vendors to obtain support on their product for internal application system problem resolution and prevention.
13. Adheres to corporate policies and best practices to ensure internal and external audit and regulatory compliance in the areas of security, control and standards.
14. Is responsible for regular communication, planning and coaching with team members through regular meetings.
15. Manages team members according to the HR guidelines and principles including but may not be limited to the areas of performance, compensation, training, and development.
16. Is responsible for building high performance teams. Provides managerial leadership to employees, which includes assigning tasks or work, holding regular two-way meetings, setting context, conducting performance evaluations, mentoring, and coaching, in order to create and maintain a high-performing team.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge:
1. Possesses a university degree/college diploma in applied technologies or equivalent business experience, and/or 12+ years experience in Banking applications and infrastructure support responsibilities.
2. Possesses approximately 5 years solid team leading and managerial experience.
3. Demonstrates sound knowledge of supported hardware and operating systems in related areas, depending on the focus of the position, e.g. Windows, HP UX, SUN Solaris, IBM AIX, Linux, networking in TCP/IP and related protocols, database platforms and various middleware technologies, e.g. Websphere.
4. Possesses sound knowledge in areas of security infrastructure and related firewall technology, should the position have more weight in security focus.
5. Demonstrate solid knowledge and experience in various industrial best practices and standards, e.g. ITIL, CMMI, ISO, SAS 70.
6. Possesses expert understanding of design and analysis methodology and application development processes from both an industry and perspective.
7. Demonstrates advanced understanding of established Technology Life-Cycle Management (TLCM) methodologies.
8. Good banking products, front-office processing and back-office processing knowledge.
