Position summary:

The WebSphere Commerce Administrator – Technical has overall responsibility for the effective implementation, ongoing growth and day-to-day support of Interface’s WebSphere Commerce Environment. The WebSphere Commerce Administrator – Technical has responsibility of the Technology aspects of WebSphere Commerce, WebSphere Commerce Accelerator and WebSphere Commerce Sales Center and works with business subject matter experts to ensure proper implementation, support and ongoing training on these products.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- install and configure the product for production and staging environments

- publish a store, configure it, and verify that it is working

- perform ongoing site and store administration and maintenance tasks

- set up and control WebSphere Commerce site security

Basic Requirements:

- IT Technical School Graduate or College Degree

- 5+ years IT related field experience

- Excellent knowledge of and experience with four or more of:

· WebSphere Commerce V6

· WebSphere Commerce Accelerator

· WebSphere Commerce Sales Center

· WebSphere Application Server V6

· Web Commerce concepts and terminology

· Product Catalog design, configuration and management

· Marketing Concepts such as campaigns, e-Marketing, promotions and awareness adds

· User Interface design and application usability

- Experience with WebSphere Commerce Admin:

· Configure Commerce Server connections and messages (credit card payment, shipping, sales center, legacy systems)

· Load store / catalog data, assist with data access for standard and custom reporting

· Apply fix and feature packs

· Designs, implements and administers the group and individual level security policy and access settings

· Working with the WAS and Database administrator(s) to ensure store performance

· Perform quick and custom installations, and configuration in both single and multi-tier environments.

· Creates required instances using Configuration Manager or command line tools.

· Sets up and configures staging and authoring servers.

· Use Configuration Manager to alter instance settings.

· Verifies the installation and configuration.

· Troubleshoots failed installation or configurations.

· Understand the concepts of store archives and store assets as well as which store models are available.

· Publishes the appropriate store archives to support the selected business model.

· Launches the published store and verify its functionality.

· Configures email activity accounts.

· Configures store features, such as store settings, store flow, store style, pages, and logo.

· Configures scheduler jobs to support store features

·- Supports SOX compliance by maintaining the environment within established guidelines and participating as requested in annual and other audits

- Excellent problem solving skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

- Ability to manage people and processes

- Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Requirements:

· basic knowledge of e-commerce practices

· basic knowledge of mark-up languages (e.g., HTML, XML)

· basic knowledge of J2EE technology

· basic knowledge of integration techniques

· operating system knowledge (Linux)
