Our client is the second largest construction toy company in the world and the No. 1 leader in the preschool construction category. They provides stimulating creative experiences for children and families through innovative, well-designed, affordable and high-quality products that are marketed worldwide under.
As the business is growing exponentially, an opportunity has arisen for Planner in their Shenzhen office.
Functions:
- Issue and maintain schedules for our suppliers, which aims to optimize delivery, capacity, lead time and costs
-Work with transport to ensure continuity of supply, minimal transport costs and excess inventory
-Perform distribution requirements planning to ensure supply in appropriate Distribution Centers
-Initiate and maintain purchase order requisitions and work closely with China vendors to ensure order process is completed in a timely and effective manner
-Work with China team and Montreal, Canada team to resolve any short-term supply management issues
-Highlight issues, propose alternative solutions and drive continuous process improvement
-Manage orders and production between vendors, Montreal and merchandising team
-Ensure to make accuracy data update (eg. schedule) in system
-Work closely with QA, engineering team, merchandising team and shipping team
-Mold capacity study and perform mold transfer arrangement amongst vendors on China
Requirements:
? 2-3 years experience (in planning)
? Excellent communication skills (English)
? Understands Planning and Procurement fundamentals
? Strong coordination and expediting skills
? J.D. Edwards experience preferred
