职位描述
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Achieves TSS and Target financial goals and objectives by partnering with HQ counterparts and business partners. Coaches and manages team to ensure program goals and objectives are met. Responsible for managing vendors, program execution and information on product trends and business opportunities.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team and Self Development
? Owns personal development through continuous learning and proactively seeks new assignments that will help build knowledge and improve skills
? Ensures team members are properly trained with the skills necessary to be successful in their respective jobs and career development
? Identifies and contributes to training and development programs for their team
? Coaches, motivates, develops and manages direct reports
? Supports HQ counterparts on product trends and country-specific import/export processes and regulations updates
Business Development
? Builds marketplace knowledge and product expertise by attending exhibition fairs, conducting market research and competitors analysis
? Identifies business opportunities and Market/Industry trends
? Sources potential business partners for future needs and contingency plans per sourcing strategy
? Provides Director and HQ counterparts with relevant information to ensure successful product development with the appropriate business partners/countries
? Establishes cross-functional partnerships to ensure production meets Target objectives
? Retrieves and utilizes systems information to give direction to team and facilitate problem resolution as needed
? For global sourcing, works with local offices collaboratively to identify business gaps
Vendor Relations
? Provides input into the vendor matrix and maintenance, and reacts to market conditions for appropriate action planning
? Establishes and maintains key vendor relationships
? Ensures vendors are trained and coached on standard procedures, processes and best methods and are compliant
? Ensures that product trends are translated into high quality/well priced product
? Monitors global market and trade updates
? Oversees Placement Meetings to ensure all requirements are communicated and comprehended
? Leads team to problem solve and troubleshoot any issues that surface
Program Management
? Ensures team is managing T&A and all related details efficiently
? Ensures issues and problems identified by the team are resolved proactively
? Works with Director and CFT Team to develop strategies for issue resolution related to product quality and on-time delivery
? Proactively analyzes and manages quarterly forecast to ensure that business remains in line with merchandising strategies and sales trends
Communication and Negotiation
? Keeps all relevant parties abreast of new processes and best methods
? Assists SMR/MR on negotiations between HQ counterparts and business partners
? For global sourcing, communicates effectively with local offices, cross functional teams and HQ counterparts
? Contributes to finding creative solutions in case of potential issues/delays
? Manages claims negotiation and resolution
Brand management
? Ensures compliance of all Target standards
? Ensures the work environment is Fast, Fun and Friendly
? Behaves everyday with integrity and trust
? Promotes TSS’s focus areas and Target’s Vision, Mission and Values
JOB REQUIREMENTS
? Degree holder with 6-9 years proven sourcing, merchandising and/or retail experience
? Knowledge of US retail industry and management style
? Strong problem solving, negotiations, planning and organizational skills
? Excellent interpersonal skills
? Proven leadership skills and experience
? Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
