ABOUT DIRECT HR:
DIRECT HR IS A PREMIUM CHINA-FOCUSED RECRUITMENT FIRM SPECIALIZED IN SUPPORTING LEADING EUROPEAN, AMERICAN AND CHINESE EMPLOYERS WITH THEIR TALENT ACQUISITION IN CHINA.

Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China
Reporting to:
Global Sourcing Leader
Travelling:
Will travel extensively within China and also have some international travelling
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the local purchasing team
+ Establish the companies purchasing and quality process
+ Organize and ensure the communication with global production companies
+ Support the global production companies out of China
+ Sensitize the team members for the clients corporate values and corporate culture
+ Lead supplier negotiations and taking care of development projects
+ Be an active member of the clients core team Global Sourcing
+ Manage the interface to other corporations within clients organization in China and South East Asia
+ Professional and technical leadership of employees
+ Project management and reporting
Requirements:
+ A degree in business administration, engineering or industrial engineering from a renowned university is required
+ Several years of experience in a leading commercial function for an international industrial company
+ Proven track record of successful locally supervised projects in China/Asia
+ Several years of experience of working and cooperating with Chinese and/or Asian employees and suppliers
+ Skilled and experienced negotiator with a track record with Asian suppliers and external service providers
+ Distinct technical and commercial understanding and high quality awareness are expected
+ Solid intercultural understanding is needed for training and launching of new processes
+ Outstanding English language skills (written and spoken) are required
+ Chinese and German language skills as any other language are desired
