Job Discription
üResponsible for architecture creation of new product and platform (switches and sockets), the new products and platform are complex and links mechanical, electrical, thermal disciplines;
· Define and deploy short term (<2 years) roadmap and platform and indicate long term (2~4 years) expectations on developments within application area;
· Responsible for the maintaining and updating the mechanical knowledge in mechanical team, with respect to innovation, new technical developments and quality within his application area;
· Maintain contacts with colleagues within and outside Philips, in order to participate in strategic platforms and to keep track of new developments;
· Drive total cost effective solution with strong cost methodology;
· Responsible for introduction of new technologies during development;
· Development of technical competences and technologies for middle to long term;
· Set up engineering planning for production;
· Simulation knowledge and experience in mechanical analysis and mold flow;
· Evaluate mechanical and thermal properties of product under extreme operational
environments;
Job Requirement
· Education学历 B.S. in mechanical engineering fields
· Experience工作经验 10-12 years’ experience in mechanical design and engineering;
· Competency and Skills 能力和技能
- Rich experience to translate customer needs into technical requirements, and
define product architecture;
- Have rich knowledge, experience and skills (DFSS, DFX and cost
management) in integral creation and product process;
- Strong mindset in cost management during architecture creation and product
development;
- Be familiar with raw material of plastic (engineering and optical plastic), metal
(steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze) and post treatment process (painting,
anodize, galvanize etc.);
- Knowledge and experience in disciplines with mechanical, electrical, optics
etc. ;
- Switches and Sockets product background are preferred;
- Familiar with ASME Y14.5 standard or equals;
- Experienced in coaching junior mechanical engineer;
- Abstract, analytical and creative thinker;
- Business mindset and improvement attitude;
- Fluent spoken and written English;
- Good team player and can work under high pressure;
