Your Challenge
Secure a pro-active control over the upstream supply chain within our transformation from conventional to digital lighting, with a continued need to respond fast to customer requirements. Your leadership in cross-functional strategic, tactical and operational topics will ensure timely product availability for our customers globally, and support growth of the New Lighting Business.

Your Responsibilities
The Global LED Component Supply Planner (grade 70 or experienced grade 60 with growth potential) will be responsible for the following:
Consolidate the Lighting LED forecast and run the S&OP process with key suppliers to secure capacity and timely detection of risks (constraints / liabilities).
Review global Supply/Demand balance and drive scenario analysis, risk buys and constraint management / allocation.
Drive and implement LED Commodity supply strategy (supplier lead-time reduction, risk mapping & mitigation, logistics contracts).
Drive and implement X-BG component management strategy, e.g. 2nd tier component management.
Manage component phase-in/out with full control over liability / obsolescence.

Your Team
You will be part of Global Supply Chain Management under BG LS&E, acting on behalf of the sector Lighting. You will report to the Director Global Component Supply Planning and will have strong links to all Lighting business as well as the LED CT. You will interact closely with other direct LED-related function in the Global Components Team.

We are looking for
To be successful as a Global LED Component Supply Planner, you have:
Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Management Sciences.
5-10 years experience in Supply Chain Management
Minimum 5 years experience in global business topics on tactical / strategic level
Strong project management skills, focus on continuous improvement
Strong analytical skills and hands-on mentality
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written on various levels in the internal and external organization, including senior management levels.
Responsive to detect and effectively solve operational issues
Able to interact effectively (and manage conflicts) with different functions (procurement, marketing, product mnt) and different levels (from senior business management to local factory planners) in the organization
Ability to work under time pressure
Strong people skills; able to work within and manage a virtual organization
High drive for results
