General Description of Duties

• The RSM will carry out activities relevant to achieving sales of stretch wrapping machines. These duties include:

1.Respond to customer request to go to their site to discuss stretch wrapping requirements.

2.Respond to customer request when they have enquired on the web site.

3.Make calls to potential customers to determine their interest in stretch wrapping equipment.

4.Use your extensive application information and knowledge to make recommendations to the customer.

• The RSM will, when required, demonstrate cost saving benefits of machines using cut and weigh method to show film cost savings, containment force evaluation, total cost of ownership and return on investment.

• Quoting

1.Semi automatic machines are held in stock in Shanghai. As they are standard machines with standard options,

the quote can be done by the RSM.

2.Fully automatic machines require the RSM to seek a quote from projects department. The projects team or CRT

will provide a T quote, estimate of container spacing required and estimate of lead time.

3.The RSM makes the presentation of the quote and all aspects of scope of supply.

4.The RSM with knowledge of the price structure will have the autonomy to negotiate any aspect of the proposal

while keeping maintaining the best intent at all times. If the RSM feels that position in a negotiation is

compromised beyond our reasonable standards then the RSM should consult with the sales director.

The RSM will be provided with a full price list.

The RSM will have Lantech expectation guidelines for sales.

• Order Entry

When the negotiation has resulted in an order and contract the RSM must submit any tender outside of “standard tender for machine sales in China” (separate attachment) to head office for approval by Jim Lancaster.

Core Responsibilities

1. Represent as a senior sales representative to a wide range of customers.

2. Participate in sales and marketing initiatives set by to sell machines either application based or industry

type based.

3. Report on projects, sales activity and any barriers to sales

4. Manage and update placement data base

5. Be an integral part of selection of authorized resellers

6. Train and manage a core team of resellers

7. Communicate and build relationships with key support areas. CRT, Project quoting, production estimating and engineering.

Core Competencies

1. Able to speak and communicate in writing in English

2. Tertiary qualification in an engineering background or have a proven track record in capitol equipment sales.

3. Preference will be given to applicants who have sold capitol equipment similar to Packaging machinery

4. Able to self motivate and self manage

5. Able to travel extensively both nationally and overseas when required
